if its a shimano 10speed chain then you can used a sram 10speed link. no problem Note you dont get a 29er chain , its 8speed , 9speed, 10speed .chain. 29er has nothing to do with the type of chain , the drive train does.

This is a very sore subject for me , I have been on the receiving end of Sam and is sidekicks . I was chosen with Bernd Finke and put on the noxa ( not sure if this even happens anymore ) excellence program in 1998/99 to represent this country for XCO at the 2000 Olympics not even halfway into it we get told sorry but you the wrong colour !!! He single headedly destroyed my passion for my sport ! When it comes to team selection I agree with Chris , it needs to be on your ability/performance/team work at the time . I don't care what colour people are as long as they can do the job correctly, they need to be chosen on this bases. We at this year's games have had some great athletes go through but I still question how the criteria operates . Sadly Chris I don't see it changing or being any different in the years to come , you always going to get those who REALY deserve to be at the games left out , its way to political and it this that destroys talent .
