Thanks Gents. Really happy with the way the painting came out. Can't fault it at all. The spraypainter has offered to spray the side panels, so will see if I can get hold of the decals and if I can, get them sprayed in the same colour. Took it for a 20 minute burn after putting the parts back on and really happy with the ride. Going to be ordering the slip-on pipes from Cone in the New Year.

Robertson goal wasn’t a direct result of Salah’s accidental hand ball and therefor was allowed to stand as per the rules of the game. Dele Ali dived! Your could see his reaction when he got up. Never a push. Kane is a dirty player and continually tries to injure players. How many times has he looked at a player and then backed into him causing that player to fall awkwardly. Yet never gets pulled up for it. One of these days, he’ll be the cause of a player breaking his neck! That was probably one of the worst Referee performances (and VAR) I've seen in a very long time. Not a problem with Robertson's red card being a wild challenge, but Kane should have been sent off and Jota should have had a penalty. Seems there are different criteria for the England Captain and the Scotland Captain. The character of these 2 was plain to see after the game in their respective interviews. Robertson acknowledges the mistake he made and that it was a rash challenge. Kane says that he thought he got the ball. What a despicable character!

Parts which I ordered from Motone Customs arrived. And fitted… I ordered the X-pipe from Australia but there aren’t any flights at the moment, so it’s sitting at the Courier.

So have been looking at replacing my slip-ons for something more suitable for a twin (ie I want to wake the neighbour's up on a Sunday morning ). Have narrowed it down to either: Cone Engineering shorty performers, or SC-Project 70s Conical shorty A difference of approx 20% in price in favour of the Cone's but the SC-Project look a hell of a lot better and have a more refined sound. Both are stainless steel. Cone... SC Project..

Do those spoked Adventure bike rims use tubes or not? My Triumph has spoked rims but uses tubes. I'm going to investigate the conversion to tubeless which seems to have been successfully done

Started stripping the bike last night. Getting the Triumph sticker off the bike proved interesting. Hairdryer, dental floss and lacquer thinners. Just waiting for a plastic 10lt petrol container I ordered from Takealot to be delivered before draining the fuel tank. Wondering to myself whether I should take out the fuel pump. I probably should.

I got the quote to respray the front fender, tank, flyscreen and tail hump in a BRG with a sparkle in the base coat. So will start stripping the bike this evening and drop off the parts over the weekend.

As I'm going to respray the bike in BRG, I just popped past Triumph Johannesburg to get myself a couple of the Tank Badges/Decals for the Thruxton. I asked the guy if he was serious when he told me the price. R2k for what essentially is 2 stickers. Looks like I'll be asking the guy whose going to paint, if he can spray the logo on.

Just received confirmation that the Meerkat X-pipe I've ordered from Aus has been shipped. This will replace a 3kg Catalytic Converter and no ECU re-map will be necessary.
