  1. I have a 1 year old Kickr 4. I rode the TdF stage on Zwift yesterday and while resistance is being applied, like on a climb, the unit was making a frikken loud noise. It sounded like metal rubbing on metal squealing. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix at home or if I need to take it in for a service. If it needs a service, where does one take it? Edit:- I just did another ride and the sound is more like that squeal you get from your fanbelt in a car.
  2. I see this started yesterday and they have changed the format slightly. Only 5 events this year rather than the 9 of last year. Did the Stage 1 race yesterday and was broken afterwards (3 months of not riding does not help one much) Stage 2 on Saturday. Anyone else doing it this year?
  3. Been out for two weeks now with a "viral inflamation in the blood". Didnt even know such a thing was possible but there you go. Blood test shows the values should be between 0-6, doc normally puts anyone over 20 in hospital as thats severe, mine came back at 24. Coming right now though. Hoping to ride again from next week but will see how it goes
  4. If you were still wanting your own copy, google "rapport toer book" and there are a few on sale.
  5. On that note, Does anyone have plans for a computer stand that can be used while on the IDT made from pallets? I have access to pallets for free (yay me) and need to do something a bit better than the ironing board I currently use to put the laptop on while Zwifting. (Seriously, an old ironing board, sawed it in half so its not so long and moved the latch thingy underneath a bit so its the right height. perfect, but a bit too wobbly for my liking)
  6. No need for a photo of mine. Just got me a Kickr 4 yesterday (early birthday present from the best wife in the world). now to enter the rabbit hole that is Zwift
  7. You are thinking of urban cycles I believe
  8. Good luck to everyone riding GABRAN. Weather is going to be a challenge.
  9. Maybe move the race to a different time of year. Cape Town has known windy periods, maybe September or October.
  10. Will be doing my first one, also being my first ever road race. Just hoping I finish it, since I started cycling not so long ago. In fact the race falls exactly 111 days after I started cycling. Bit nervous to be honest.
  11. Biggest issue I have with Falke is where to buy their products. Have yet to find a pair of the road cycling ones in my size (12) anywhere in Durbs. Even had a look at sportpeoples wherehouse and no go. Plenty of mountain bike ones on offer though.
  12. Greetings Fairly new to cycling, other than the "ride my game special to school" from years ago. Looking to get into the sport a bit more and possibly join a club to have some more people to cycle with.
