  1. Wait...this is escalating quickly! My bad, I actually meant "...leaning strongly towards the Lelit Bianca " and not Linea Mini. But then after reading some more the Profitec Pro 700 caught my eye, but now I am actually in Linea Mini territory and completely clueless again. I will ask advice on the grinder later but trust me I will NOT skimp on the grinder as I can gather it plays a major if not THE biggest roll. If you guys are bored please check the official Lelit Bianca site out and give me your thoughts, please. Value for money wise it seems good, but I've read the Profitec Pro 700's are very good too. Thanks gents.
  2. Thanks V12man! Not sure how I missed the fact that the rocket is a single boiler. Leaning very strong towards the Linea. Will most likely invest in a good scale thus the Volumetric Controls aren't too big of an issue. Any other comments or recommendations?
  3. Hi Guys! Need your expert advice, please. I know little less than zero about Espresso Machines but am busy reading up on them. Required coffees per day... Roughly 4 singles and 2 doubles per day. Thus, the machine will be used 6 times a day and 8 cups will be made, will probably vary between Americano, Cappuccino and the odd Latte. I am trying to decide between the following two machines, PLEASE help! Rocket Evoluzione R or the soon to be launched Lelit Bianca Thanks, guys/girls.
  4. Serious question... Why does the service interval change? Does shock wear and tear change depending on shock orientation? Why? Thanks. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  5. Does anyone know the retail for the current Spark 900 RC? Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  6. Ok, this throws a spanner in the works. Had my heart set on the Scalpel-Si Team, but think this is going to be better value for money. Still chucking the fork and putting a lefty on. Edit: Let me rather wait for official pricing before I make statements like that. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  7. Looking at Specialized, the difference between Dealer Cost and MSRP is a whopping 54% on their bikes. Not picking on Spez here, I ride one myself, pretty sure it is the same with the other big brands. But what to do? You want the bike you pay the price! Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for the encouragement and motivation guys. I'll be sure to ask if I need help and will update as FTP change! (Weight already coming down)
  9. Hi travisza. Thanks, I also think they won't last long on a MTB, or wouldn't want to risk it. Agree.
  10. Thanks a gazillion, if I do buy one I'll shoot you a message. ???? Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  11. Awesme, are you happy with your Stages power-meter? As mentioned I was looking at the Power2Max power meters, but unfortunately they are not compatible with Oval rings. Do you run a Round or Oval ring on your Stages? Thanks
  12. Did my first ever FTP test yesterday. FTP = 220W Unfortunately I am a fat POS at 100kg so I'm sitting at 2.2W/kg Luckily I have A LOT of weight to lose so that will increase the W/kg somewhat. Then I need to mention that I had to hold back on the power a bit to keep my Heart Rate in check. When my Cardiovascular fitness increase I should be able to push a couple extra Watts. Anyway, here's to my road to 4W/kg!
  13. No No! It's so nice to train with the Kickr's built-in Power meter that I'm exploring the avenues for when I'm NOT on the Kickr (Thus outside ) In other words... Don't only budget for the Kickr
  14. I'm deciding between Power2max and Stages. I want to go the Power2max route, but as far as I can tell I can't use their 1x system with an Oval ring. I don't have an Oval ring yet, but would definitely like to try it out. Otherwise I will go the Stages route, it seems it is one of the most popular options out there, but I can't seem to find some middle ground, people either LOVE or HATE them. Are you happy with your Stages awesme? Best place to buy? I'm still riding flats, but your reasoning makes A LOT of sense. How much abuse can these Power Meter pedals take on a Mountain Bike?
  15. Hey awesme Absolutely loving it, just battling to make some time to ride. Had a busy week but did the 50km free trail on Zwift. Can't wait to start on TrainerRoad. Setting everything up and connecting/pairing was a breeze. Only "small" problem is the fact that I will have to index my rear derailleur, all the gears aren't smooth, but it's no problem if you put the Kickr in ERG mode. Now this brings me to the following! Which power meter should I buy since it's really nice to ride/train with power data!
  16. Ok, cool. Thanks a million. Will report back once I've done the setup. Unfortunately still doing the work thing... (Let me rephrase, I am still at the office.) Re: your question regarding Apps... For sure going to hook it up to the HTPC, TrainerRoad and Zwift will be checked out first. Thanks for the help and starting this thread.
  17. Cool man, he was pretty sure that the unit ships with a 10spd although I was pretty certain it's 11spd. But now I have a question... Will the 11spd cassette that ships with the Kickr work with my 11spd chain that I have on my 2016 Camber? Current cassette on my MTB is the SRAM XG-1150 Thanks
  18. Just a quick thanks to awesme and Jackhorner. I picked up my Kickr just after 13:00. Story here. PS. Also had awesome service from Mpho at CycleLab in Fourways, but being in the Cape that kite didn't fly, thanks a million though Mpho. Also spoke to someone from Evobikes, the person is still suppose to come back to me, he wasn't sure about the 10spd vs 11spd cassette variations.
  19. Thanks G, not showing on their website but will contact them directly. If anyone else have suggestions, please shoot.
  20. Hi Guys, trying to locate stock but apparently my Google skills suck. Anyone know where I can buy a Kickr?
  21. Still don't understand why squash shoes aren't more popular in the cycling scene. You get some rather good looking, tough, light and affordable squash shoes. I also have Hope F20 pedals and it's a killer combo.
