Just went down to look at the finish area and it's a hive of activity. Still quite a lot of mud though but the sun should dry it up!

:clap:Yep I am not so sure about Cliffies. Perhaps someone could enlighten us? Why not look at some of the other B&B's slightly further away from the venue, but still in PMB? If you don't mind driving about 30min to the venue look at Midmar Dam accomodation?

Where is that? Can't say I've heard of it.

There are huge numbers of teams that need accomodation nevermind supporters, so demand is high. A positive is that won't need to drive to the venue and can easily pop back during those periods when nothing is happening...alternatively you can camp in our yard for a reduced fee-but then again we're in Howick.

Someone I know often gives them (them being call centres/telephonic marketing crowds) an amazing run-around... One of these run-arounds included a time when the conversation went something like this:(this is not made up) Telephone lady: What is your occupation? Someone: I'm a "stripper" (in a rather pansy, yet convincing "guy" voice) Telephone lady: (slightly nervous laugh), and after asking him to repeat the answer, asks- are you married or in a relationship? Someone: yes, I do have a partner.(again-in a poofter voice) Telephone lady:what occupation is your partner involved in? Someone: he is a masseuse Telephone: once again more nervous laughter but this time uncertainty. Someone: yes that is correct, we work from home... Telephone: May I ask- hesitation- your approximate income? Someone: We earn more than R70000 a month daaarling. We have very nice jobs. (lady voice again) Telephone: This time a gasp of shock accompanied by the obligatory "haibo'- even audible by us listening nearby. This comversation continued in a similar manner until all questions were answered. The funniest thing was the caller didn't know whether it was a joke or serious, and really didn't know how to behave!!!

WOW but things are looking wet down in the Midlands Has anyone been down to Cascades to check things out? Nationals/'Mini world cup' this weekend- should be interesting in the wet!
