    50km record attempt is on SABC 2 fyi. Massive group of men still. 18ish kms in an hour. Group of 4 ladies on track out front. I've read Gerda and irvette are pacing, so that's only 2 (?), not sure. 22kms in 1:22 Edit Gerda is only doing 30kms

    Tell you one thing. That driver would have gotten one life-changing fright when they drove over something big and solid. They surely would have at first thought it was a human.

    Theres a pretty big yellow lane there, if I'm picturing the right place. So that means he was not only driving on the wrong side of the road, but all the way over the yellow line!? Crazy

    Saw the highlights just now. What a great move by Affini. I'm not sure I've seen someone blast off the front of a lead-out like that. Amazing. Not as amazing as the work by Nizzolo though. Wow, mad power

    Meanwhile Jack Davis of Trail Lab and most of the KZNTR events and hellofa nice guy is leading the 100 mile. He just finished tied 3rd at Addo the other day. Also, Tobie Reyneke is doing his zillionth 100 miler... He is a real national treasure

    100 milers started a couple hours ago. They'll be charging passed Jewbacca about now. Will be nice to get a bit of company, albeit very brief Edit: scratch the company part, I see he's been sticking with Peter for a while now

    Mac Mac 200 - Ruan vd Merwe leading at half way, 100 miles in 27:41. I see he won the 100 miler race 2 years ago in 23:54. His time today would have been good enough for 5th overall back then, which means he's moving really well I reckon. Our man is through 125kms in 28 hours. He did 33:30 for the 100 mile in 2019 so looks like he's also going really well.
