  1. For me, not too worried about that, they using a Scott Spark in the expo and some of the pics, so I'm good.
  2. I want one of those.
  3. I do, but when I got summit garmin had still been lazt with the map and made it utterly useless on phones and I kinda sorta like the live segments, sometimes. One thing I do prefer from strava are the SMS notifications, which garmin does not have, emails tend to get ignored or unnoticed, I am a safety contact for other garmin users and I almost never notice the email.
  4. Summit is premium, they just created splits for it as well. Everything summit has is what premium had
  5. I use the safety beacon feature, but strava analysis tools are useless, they add no value.
  6. Ya, but also consider that if it were as common a problem as you are suggesting, they would have become a dead brand long ago, no way people, especially manufacturers keep shoving money into a company that is pissing off the majority of their clients. I find it hard to believe, especially in a day and age where bitching and moaning is made soo simple and soo public that a company shipping products soo fundamentally flawed remains in business. It not like we are not spoilt for choice for these components, there are dozens of brands and as many have said are/can be superior to Shimano, a lot of bikes are also coming with both Shimano and SRAM options, SRAM especially has equally price comparable products, so it would not be hard for manufacturers to just stop putting apparent fault products on as their reputation will take all the knocks along with Shimano. It could genuinely be that the world hates you, like my mother and tech, I often upgrade her phones/tabs/media players with my stuff, and for me it has worked perfectly for months/years and the moment I had it to her somehow it goes to ****, we talking media players, tablets, the last 5 phones across different manufacturers, cell networks the works all manage to share the same problems. The media player that I used for 1.5 years she has now, it did not give me a second of trouble has gone to complete ****, the media player she had that was giving her trouble I took and its working flawlessly, and I did literally nothing to it, plugged it in and perfection, and its like 4 years old already. Maybe you pissed off a ghost or something in your last life who knows. lol
  7. Yeah, and don't try take picks that include socks that do not look like u rode thought a fruit salad, you'll get flak for that too
  8. Ya spacer and lower leg were related, unrelated thoughts. Doddy did a vid on both lowers and volume spacers. Does help knowing what we call the tool. [emoji23]
  9. Won't need to do it for a while, but will def look out for a kit and even pin PhilliV, but seen a few videos on it, looks dead simple. I also have all intention on at least trying to replace my drive train in like a year or 2 when it's dead. Suspension I will leave to the pros for now, may one day venture into the lower leg service zone, though I am considering popping out 1 of the volume spacers, apparently Scott shoved the max into the spark 940, I like what the guys said about the improved comfort after taking one out.
  10. Oh I heard all about that one, it does help when getting ones brakes blead, to have them actually blead. From. My digging online, bleeding is a relatively easy task to do, and I like tinkering with my bike more than Shawn does, last time I looked the bleed kits were unjustifiably expensive for a man that owns 1 bike, it would take years to pay for itself. Pad choice also makes a difference and I know I hang on my brakes more than I should and its something I am actively working on, but in the mean time I have a set of the enduro pads with the heat sinks on them heading my way.
  11. Oh ya, sorry, I got that. My bad, was referring a bit more past tensy.
  12. Guess I'm lucky, no squishy, no frequent bleed, no issues and hanging on the wall vertically. Don't doubt there are better or even just different out there, but mine feel fine to me, and not about to change what I perceive as perfectly working brakes with none of the issues being described, just because other people had issues. Also not going to switch to a brand off a forum recommendation until at least try them for myself or at least get the rec from someone I know personally who's opinion I know I can trust, hence upgrading to xtr. 3 people, 2 of them pro racers told me xtr rocks with combined ridding experience that exceeds my existence on this planet. Sure maybe a few years from now I will learn more **** and have a different opinion, but I have little reason to doubt the experts and little reason to go spend more money fixing something that's not broken.
  13. Even my. M7000 worked better than what you describing, sounds like them shitty deoers that came with my 2nd bike, my M7 was blead for the first time when they took them off, not sure why you'd bleed brakes heading into a box, sure there's a reason. Going from deore to the M7 was like a life changing experience, I could control my speed with my brakes instead of my tyres dragging through the dirt. It was a whole new sensation being able to pull brakes without locking up a wheel. Wish I knew then what I know know, **** I'd have replaced those things soo fast.
  14. I'll get started on that explication of colour for you then.
  15. Whatever make you happy, I look after my stuff. You can hate on Shimano all you want.
  16. Done that a few times with my SLX already, sometimes to clean the bike properly ya gots ta turn it around...[emoji23]
  17. My M6000 was a bloody light switch for sure, but the M7000 and M9000 have both power and fine control, while I cannot compare them to Hope personally, what you are describing is not how the brakes are feeling to me. That was the 2nd thing I noticed when getting this new bike 6 months ago, brake control, that cheapie hard tail was 0 9 or 11. You were either moving, stopping or skidding never slowing down. The XTR feels a tad more comfortable with the lever adjustment, so finer placement control and probably twice the fine braking control I had with the SLX. I would not mind trying a pair of hope brakes, but these have been raved about for the better part of 2 years by a good friend and a 17+ year ridding veteran as well my mechanic. While I do not doubt your experience or opinion, also not going to ignore that of those I know personally whom have loads more experience than I do. 6k is no small amount of money so if you going to spend it on what is effectively 1 component the advice of those you trust carries the most weight.
  18. Very nice, although the 7 month delivery time is a bit extreme, and I got these at a good deal, 6k with installation.
  19. What's trickstuff? Brand, genre, expensive pretty stickers?
  20. OK ya, dodgy seller then, and I can imagine you'd never know about that issue until using it. Mine are brand new out of the box, have not tried lever adjustment, just found out about it last night. What I did notice from the SLX was braking control felt more in control it was like a volume button, but with the X.5s in between. Cannot comment on raw dead stopping power, never yank my brakes that hard.
  21. Ya dude, sorry hut that just sounds remarkably dodge, you buy a pair of Shimano top of the line brake sets, which are dak expensive, have what is clearly a manufacturer fault in a short space of time and instead of returning it to the shop to get it replaced under warrenty, you opted to rather sell a known defective product on to someone else. There is no way I am gonna flogg off a set of brakes worth near on 10k because of a manufacturer fault, that will be replaced no questions asked.
  22. Nope, the drive has always been a 10 week freebie, you can choose to either sing up for insurance and continue to earn driving rewards or loose 1 play per week until Vitality v 3 comes out with a whole new set a vaseline coated ideas.
  23. And they are installed. Woot...
  24. That looks way better than my black/red frame with neon yellow pedals. [emoji23]
