  1. Suppose, but with running, cycling and xfit I spend a fair amount with sportmans, I also get the 25% discount on my life insurance, which alone offsets my vitality fee. I also intend on trying my hand at a few triathlons, so more shopping. Basically if I were to drop vitality, that fee would more into my life insurance directly, but also negatively impact my annual inflation which on diamond is reduced by 1.5%, so it increased by 8% instead of 9.5% so long running benefit. The odd movie I see pretty much doubles in price. The cycling and running consumables I go back to paying full price for. I loose out on paying R300 for R2000 worth of shoes, and getting 50% back on my race fees, which while not a lot was about a grand for this year so far. So so far this year just on life insurance I've already save about R4500. Saved about 2 grand on flights. At around R1600 back so far on the shoes add in another 1k for the races. That's 8100 from the 2159 I have paid for vitality not factoring in misc sportmans purchases, forgetfulness, cost of smoothies. I think at least in my case, without the smoother I come out way ahead, drop the shoes, flight, races and I am still scoring near on 100% RIO.
  2. So your exercising is exclusively for the rewards, not for fun, or health or any good reason? Ya sure, I like the rewards, but not getting them isn't gonna make me stop running, cycling and xfitting. Of course they going to make it harder, but at least they also expanding choice and increasing the quality of the rewards pool. I'd rather wait 12 weeks and get something pretty awesome than a coffee or a smoothie, both of which I can get much better of at other places. Sure, free is nice, but I'd rather skip the free shitty smoothie and coffee for the option to get something better, something actually motivational.
  3. I let tc notify me of blocked stuff, today was only edgars and fnb.
  4. Not specifically for this, but I have removed about 4 spam mails today that where definitely not my race number

  7. Because there is no way to determine the difference between a manually logged activity vs an actual recorded on in the payload strava gives. Users who are not premium also do not include HR data so the data they have access too is unreliable.
  8. That's nice, just updated the app and lost my last 2 rewards.
  9. Booster is a separate benefit from the vitality sports benefit, you will continue to get max cash back on the up to R2000/pm for normal sports shopping. I both called to confirm and tested this myself, the month I purchased my Garmin I got 2 vitality sports payments into my account, the 1k for the watch and a few hundred for the other **** I bought. Payouts max's are based on a per benefit not a per family/policy across all benefits.
  10. Nope, only specific devices as stipulated by discovery qualify for the booster, no exception or custom bundling. https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/products/discovery-device-booster-all-qualifying-products#filters|sort_most-recent So you could buy the M200 or whatever as your booster device and the H10 as a normal vitality sports device.

  15. You gonna love that one, got the 930 a couple of months back, strange that the 930 is a 2x but the 940 a 1x... Actually prefer the colour of the 940, but Scott had dropped the price seriously, the 930 was 5k less than the 940.
  16. Yeah, that's Def a spark 940, beaut she is and they going for some good prices now with all the 2019s coming in soon.

  21. They can vary, but in my area most shops are throwing it in with new bike sales. The specialized store in Stellenbosch is like 500 for a basic fit and 900 for a full fit. The guy I went to only does full fit at 1k, takes up to 90 minutes. Scott Spark 930 (2018) MTB Vids: ltstyt.be/@remelehane

  23. Fantastic ride, major step up from my scale 960,and not because of the suspension. Steering is way more responsive, brakes have control as apposed to being on/off switch. Handling, cornering, all better and obviously being new, took it easier while I learn its handling. Off to Eden today with the friend who also got the 930 on Friday, his first ride out will be today and he is coming from a 2009 giant hard tail...
