  2. Yip, taken at Cape Point Nature Reserve....
  3. Absolutely Awesome thread.... only saw it now and thought I'd share, but too scared as I don't think my pics are good enough:
  4. It looks as though it could be right, however, I have wedges that fit between the cleat and sole. If I add the grip as well, the screws are way too short. What do I do then? What does the book say regarding the grip tape, I don't have it with me, sorry!
  5. Send us a link if you don't mind, I even checked YouTube for a setup video, but couldn't find anything.
  6. I just pictured what you have said and it put a funny picture in my mind. Anyway, the torque of the screws against the surface of the washer between the cleat and screw head provide the needed pressure to prevent the cleat from slipping against the surface of the shoes. In simple english, fasten the screw down enough so that the cleat don't move once it's in the needed position on the shoe. I had a pair of Scott's before with the plastic sole, there's no abrasion on the sole to prevent slippage of the cleat, you just have to screw it VAS!
  7. If you do that, you damage the Carbon Sole....
  8. Come to think of it, I'm not so sure I'm going to use it, wouldn't it make it more difficult to get your foot of the pedal in case of extreme emergency, with the added friction of the abrasive? It's a cool idea to prevent your foot from slipping in the pedal when grinding on climbs...But thats about it....
  9. Ok cool, so it doesn't go on the shoe, it goes on the pedal, that's more understandable, I couldn't make sense of the wording in the booklet, that's why I thought I'd ask.... thanx
  10. Hi, Need assistance please, I bought a pair of SIDI Ergo 2's. In the box there was a piece of abrasive 3m paper that need to be fitted to the shoe, please advise what this is for or where it should go, the abrasive part between the cleat and sole with the abrasive bit on the side of the cleat or vice versa. Thanx
  11. Kleen Green works well too!!! Peel the majority of the sticker off, use a cloth wet with Kleen Green and and wipe the remaining sticky area.... Works well...
  12. The Ad you are looking for is no longer available but we found other ads that may match what you are looking for. The ad is off gumtree.... No longer available.... Maybe it's sold....
  13. You can claim from the Road Accident Fund.... Contact them and find out what the procedure is, they'll claim back from the responsible people/persons.....
  14. Ever take an aluminium cooldrink can, put a slight dent in the side then step on the top to crush the top and bottom together? Well, IMO, the above is impact damage, but not from direct impact into the dent, but more a force applied to the ends of the tube.... This is a MTB? If so, MTB trails are never smooth and all that bumps can cause a Manufacturers Dent to fail catastrophically in this manner, same as the above Aluminium can scenario...
  15. Contact Bridge Cycles in Cape Town, they specialize in SPECIALIZED 021 712 4841...Hope that helps
  16. Me too but the wife doesn't....
  17. Crown Cycles.... The Cloete Brothers are brilliant.... and will help in every possible way, will also try and beat any price out there or will advise accordingly.... If you want something, they'll get it for you or try and get you something better at almost the same price... And Mark, great with my bike, after my change in frame, I took it back to him a couple of times until I was comfortable, with no additional costs to adjustments... I was even borrowed a seatpost until I got the one I wanted for my bike...(a month later) I have to add this as well as of late, Bridge Cycles, The team at Bridge always willing to go that extra mile to help a guy out... Well Done Bridge....
  18. No offense, but I can see now why you call yourself MAMPARA.... From the one side the seat tube logo will be back to front and the down tube logo will be correct, however from the otherside, the opposite takes effect....
  19. I say go for it, it will look good....
  20. I like..... Won't know how it would look on a black frame with everything else black on the bike as well.... Might look odd... But nice looking wheels none the less
  21. Likewise, I can't wait for Dusan to build it and send me a pic....
  22. If you sent something you have his PO Box or addie which should help in tracking him down????
