  1. still - a sub 3 hour marathon is a good run.
  2. At the dry Shova on a tandem had an average speed down fields hill of 77.3 and a max of 91.6. Not sure that I would like to atempt that in the rain

    Good Luck to all you guys doing it - i will be missing it due to injury this year (injured in July - only just comming back). Going to give comrades a go next year instead and if I qualify Paris-Breat-Paris in August.
  4. Agree with Jedi - Lip Ice is the way to go. Small and convienient can be used on the go

  7. Fatty - the pain is worth it at the end of the day - like Sir Fred says the event looks after and treats each individual as somebody special. The Epic was good but this is fantastic - busy training for next year.
  8. Fatcyclist - suggest you would end up walking or running very slowly a fair percentage of the marathon so don't let the knee put you off. I did the 2005 IM in PE with a buddy who is a walker and he was able to finish in about 15hrs. This year my run took 7hrs and i nornmally run a marathon sub 4hrs - so agian plenty of walking
