Kletterer Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I think that guy who did 2hr 55, rode on Bulls 29er, not 26er I am sure that it was a 26er, absolute certain of nobblies and standard gears. Rode with him too, sat actually on his wheel for some time. Until he dropped me somewhere in the confusion of A group catching and passing. Never saw him from Chappies. Man of steel. Lots of respect!

Hentus Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Some fast times posted here. I could only manage a 3h28 on a Anthem 29er with knobs from W group. Had a great time, stopped at 4 waterpoints, felt like a tourist in my own city.

rckhpr29er Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 What is wrong with an MTB with slicks? I've got a Rockhopper 29er and did the Argus on slick Roadie tires. Bike looks awesome. I did a 4:27 which is not great in the scheme of things but for my first time out was brilliant. Next year a sub 4 is on the cards!!!
