You can get the pawls on their own.

I have never actually seen those pawls break.

If they did ,chances are more damage was done.

If you can get a new body for that price, take it, as the "nylon bushing" will also be in a better shape than your current one.

Make sure you get new pawls and the seal that sits in the hub itself, also be sure that the "washer" is not missing.

Re-assemble with Finish Line wet lube, not grease (my personal choice this way)

Whilst you are at it, replace all the bearings, the new free hub body will have a new bearing.

I am sure I will be corrected.

Sounds like a standard issue with Mavic - I have been fighting with my Cross Ride freehub for years.

I found the best solution for the problem. I gave the finger to the Mavic hub and bought a Novatec (cause that was what I could afford, but I would have preferred a Hope). And praise the lord, the problems, they went away!!!

Those Novatec hubs are bomb proof and they run so smooth  I still have a set on my sons bike and think in the 10 years that I've had them, had the bearings replaced once and I am a "dikgat"

Do a search on youtube and you will find several videos on how to service both Mavic road and MTB hubs - pretty simple and sometimes all is needed is a clean and some oil.
