Hey,

 

I'm not a roadie, but I love F1 and I LOVE McLaren. Anyway, interested to see Mclaren and Specilized have come together to create a gorgeous looking road bike.

We will be astounded to see how many of these will be sold. R60k is not actually that much if you think about it, a new S-Works Epic retails for R75k.

I might be wrong, but aren't the top end Treks around R60k? This would then be competition for the Italian premium bikes on price as well (and I would probably take the Spesh personally if I was in that market).

It is a very nice looking bike but i would rather go for the Felt AR.

Specialized today unveiled the jewel in their road bike crown - the McLaren Venge.

 

The bike is the result of a nine month collaboration with the Formula One racing giants McLaren. It will be used in competition for the first time at Milan-San Remo this weekend by a select group of riders from Specialized-sponsored teams, including Mark Cavendish (HTC-Columbia).
