Q: How do you know if someone is doing or has done an ironman?

A: They will tell you.

Usually happens within about 10 minutes of meeting a person.

Feeling good as well, arrived in PE a few hours ago... strange thing is my race number as per my IM mag that came in the post says 348 - as per todays Herald my race number is 326... will be interesting to see what it actually is in the morning when i pick up my race pack (after the morning swim - anyone going?)

haha maybe Pe newspaper a tad slow, things are rather laid back here. I might have a swim. What time you going to have a swim. Only problem with having Ironman in Pe is if you live in Pe you still have to work on the Friday

Had a swim this morning and although the water is a lot warmer than East London, its quite choppy.

Off for a easy 20k ride now.

My race number on the front of mag. was also different from the one on the website. I phoned them and they said that the magazine’s is wrong the one on the website is the correct one.

Good luck to all of you doing te IM on Sunday.

Asked my cousin to hold thumbs for me her reply was: ‘Duime hou gaan F*kk*l help nie, ek sal vir jou bid”

So to all out there not doing the IM....... don’t hold thumbs, pray!
