Hi All,

I start a week day riding in complete darkness. Now that winter is approaching, it seems I'm doomed to finish in the same fashion.

I have tried a few lights and although I seem to get some distance from many of them, I'm now faced with the problem of not getting a very wide angle. Any suggestions on what light I could get for around R1K that would provide good light wihout being to close to a laser as far as beam width is concerned?

The LED Lenser B7 goes sells for about R500-00.

We got ours at a hiking shop. Outdoor Warehouse and Cape Union Mart also normally stock them.

The torch comes with a bicycle clamp that is easy to use, fits easily on the handlebar or stem, and it is BRIGHT.

It has 2 settings (full power and half) which can be selected by using the pushbutton at the back of the torch.

I have been using the torch regularly for the past few weeks, and have not noticed any noticeable drop in performance.

It uses 4 AAA batteries, which are included with the torch.

There are quite a few reviews of them here on the Hub.

Just checked their site and nice. I got a Blackburn that I paid R300 for 2yrs back and can say that its not worth going "cheap". If I had the R500 to spare I would buy this B7.
