Ah what the hell. Got me some and I think they are stunning.

 

Felt quite good on my first ride as well. (and not too dirty)

Agree , it just not practical !! And besides the white shoes , socks , gloves what else do you want to add to look like a total roadie ?

 

Shoes in the washing thing after every ride ?? Eish who gonna give up the ghost first the shoes or the machine ?

Being new to cycling I have obviously missed something.

Roadies are considered to be uncool. Whatever you do do not ever become like a roadie, your wife and children will leave you and you will lose your job.

I have white shoes for MTB and road. Keeping clean is really easy: just make sure there is water crossing close to end of the ride.

Something I have realized after few months of riding: the shoes are definitely quicker than I ever be.
