Eugene Posted April 14, 2011 Share Put slicks on. Nothing else will smooth your ride, unless you put on a suspension seatpost, but that would be over kill.
DJ84 Posted April 14, 2011 Share Saddle, that will help quite a bit.Bibs, better quality bibs help an awesome amount. You can also put on bigger volume tyres, like 2.4 width will also make it a bit more comfy.

I don't think putting slicks on is going got help if that's the event in question.

pauloc Posted April 14, 2011 Share In terms off service eg.new bearings etc.Huh!?!?? Â So you're not looking to upgrade / change anything, just looking to make your current bike ride as smooth as possible?
Chris_K Posted April 14, 2011 Share Drop the rear tyre pressure a bit. That makes a huge difference on a hard tail. Also helps with grip in the technical stuff. Just my 2c worth, it is what I do. Cheers Edited April 14, 2011 by Chris_K

pauloc Posted April 14, 2011 Share Well in that case you can either take your bike in to a local bike shop and get a major service done / if you're clued up you can do it yourself. The major service would cover stripping and re-assembling the major components to ensure everything is running smoothly. At the very least give your bike a good clean and make sure your drive train is well lubed up on race day.
