Nice soaking rain today and tonight - Tokai is going to rock tomorrow - anyone else going up? - them rocks and roots are going be slick - especially on boulders!!!!

Wish I could join you Dubber - but we are off to the Karoo tomorrow (wife, kids and Girlfriend (MTB)) Have just come back from an awesome ride in Tokai and the trails are riding very nicely!!!

Did just about everything this morning and it is great now that the rain solidified the new clay that was put in as well as the remaining sandy bits. You could really hammer it as long as you stayed wide awake for the snotty roots and the odd muddy patch. Luckily the fairweather cyclists were not there so it was quiet compared to the usual public holiday overcrowding.

Contermans was fantastic this morning. No dust. No mud. Just nice and sticky. I'm not a good climber but Contermans really is a fantastic venue with all that single track. I don't go there often enough. Tokai was quite rutted and worn on certain trails about two weeks ago. Hope the rain did it well?
