Hey all

So I'm looking for a new frame and found this one which seems to be a 2010 Scott Scale RC but without the integrated seatpost.

Shop says the frame was a replacement by scott sa but now the client doesnt want it so they are selling it.

Cant find any info about this on the Scott 2010 site, but did find two other links mentioning it, one with a pic, it looks to be the same frame.

They say its a very rare model only sold in Europe/Japan aparently.

Really keen on this so would value your input ! Specially as the frame with ISP was 980g so with a KCNC post should be just over 1kg, allowing me about an 8,7kg bike

Guess I'll contact probike tomorrow as well.

Cheers,

WW.

Barely alive...Haven't done proper riding in a while, been on the roadie a bit cause I need my freehub serviced and I'm too lazy to put sealant into my racing wheels :) But we must go ride again sometime man!

Perhaps they cut off the isp & fitted a normal post? Isp is a standard tube diameter. As far as I know, isp is not lighter than a normal post (isp's seat clamp is rather heavy)

Also thought so but read somewhere that the you cant put a post in there, dunno if thats true, seems not.

Just thinking this is a bit dodgy then, really not looking for another frame thats gonna crack !

Also see actual weight is about 1,2kg from pics on the net

Actual weight is simple. Get the bike shop to weight it for your. Ensure that you get you warrantee on the frame

I know the shop and the owner well.

I can vouch for that frame I was there when it arrived from Pro bike it has never been ridden or built up.

Note: It is not a frame with a cut off integrated seatpost it arrived like that out of the box with a seat clamp included, the shop immediately inquired why it does not have an integrated seatpost and they said that is how it is.

You can buy it with out worries, and obviously get the warrentee as well as it is a new frame.

Happy riding, if you want you can PM me if you have a specific question, enjoy the weekend.

As I recall Scott uses a very rare post diameter, and pretty much the only people who make that size are Ritchey. That said, the pic shows a WCS which is a class post.
