Thanks Slowbee.

Often peole neglect the fact that digital as analog needs post processing.

Especially if you shoot in raw.

I like this one of yours.

I like the one with the grass, especially the vibrancy and the colour in the grass as well as the all round exposure in the image.

Thanks boet..

The exposure was a bit of a pain, focus on the sun rays and the rest is under exposed..focus away from the sun rays, and the rays get over exposed...in the end I had to bump up the exposure on Iphoto and remove some of the shadow so you can see the grass...but came out nice.

Nice job

I find with difficult shots like that I use spot metering, then I take a light reading from around three different shades and try and average it out.

Light reading meaning with your camera using the spot metering? or with a hand held meter?

Will give the spot metering a go next time!!

This fella was about 80m away...so 500 mm lens is working it's magic. Wish it was a low f-stop though, but small steps.

As you can see...I am in the Kruger and will be here till next Sunday  , so will post some more of my pics as I get the hang of the longer lens...

I use a Sony a300 with a Sigma 170 - 500mm lens for most shots.

Some nice shots DaLoCo, the lion Cub is my favorite thus far, so keep em coming!

Was cruising around Worcester the other day and visited the karoo tuin or something like that, still a pity that you may not cycle there..
