Thnx bro

The other reason I would rather go the SLR route.

Their aren't that many micro 4/3 rd. users and APS-C users out there so lenses on the used market are very scarce.

With an SLR you can often pick up a really great lens for a bargain.

Wondering what your thoughts are on the nikon V1, i realise its abit outdated already had a squiz at it when it first came in around 5k.. now i can get it new for 1.8k .

Mainly looking at it for 1080 video function, odd few snaps of family ,mostly high action any thoughts appreciated

Also can i stepping ring a fisheye i have onto the existing 10-33 v1 lens i see it has thread ? think my fisheye is a 48 size ring (37-48 something like that have to 2x check)

Bearing in mind the 1.8k or should i just save abit more 4k for a d3100 18-55 lens ,Sd, bag bundle,.. also still mainly for the 1080 60i hd video.

thnx again

d3100 is a REAL DSLR, while the V1 is being heavily discounted for a reason.

Ty guys.. just noticed the 3100 only does 1080 @ 24fps.. the v1 can do @ 60.. am mostly after the video..hmm the quality might change/challenge the frame rate count though ?

Think the v1 smaller then 4/3rd even .. 1" or something.

Dangle your leica lens brought me to find this

so looks like can be stepped up off stock lens

The Canon 5 D mk.2 only did 25 fps. in 1080 i and they made movies with that camera.

**edit**

Sorry only saw the other bit now, that looks like the standard lens with two filters on the end.

My concern was that the 58mm 250D would be too heavy for the 10-30mm zoom. But maybe not.

Here is a photo showing the 250D and the 18.5mm lens, which has 40.5mm threads on the front of the HB-N104 compact hood. That would certainly be rigid enough, although not affording the working distance you would get with the 10-30mm.

Some of these older combos look cooed

i need series 6 or 7 thread

You can't do better than the Leica ELPRO achromats. The older ones have Series 6 and Series 7 threads, and these can usually be found (with patience) on eBay for less than $20. I have a dozen in my photo drawer.

Not quite a human powered bike :P

Did this with a friend and his BMW 1000 RR in a long driveway. 3 speedlights and one strobe.
