How much sealant in a 29er Tyre?

I run 100ml per wheel 29er 2.35 and have never had a puncture/flat. It's more important at how frequently you check it and if you only ride once a week spin the wheels at least 1 other time and check every 3 months. Well that's what I do.

Bit of a twist on the original question -

Bikeshop fitted my tubeless tires ....

NOT sure if they used STANS or "sludge" .....

WHAT do I use to top it  ???

JIP - I have tried to confirm with them what they used ,,,, have not gotten an answer from them, as yet.

Do I lift the tire, wash out and start over ?

Do I go for STANS ?

Do I go for "sludge" ?

I have previously used sludge, and there still is sludge in my commuter and in Maritz's bike tires, ie 2 out of 3 is confirmed as sludge.

And I KNOW the sludge works.  Have certainly removed enough thorns to properly test it ...

PS - if there is a definitive thread on this, please post a link.

I don't think it matters I have mixed sealants before with no issues. It's aways a mess to take Tubeless tyres off and refit so I do it as little as possible. Check sealant by removing valve and use a toothpick or wire to see how much sealant is still left.

On most sealant bottles I've used it usually says don't mix - but I am lazy and have often mixed different brands from Stans to slime to batseal etc etc - I've had no issues so far. As for brand, I'm not gonna buy a no name - but I can't say I've had an issue with any of the bigger brands.

Thanks gents.

your preference for Stans vs Sludge ?

I started out with Sludge, and have good experience with it .... but I see Stans being punted widely.

Is it a better product, or just more aggressive marketing ?

Mix no problem

I used to mix OKO and Joe's and it was fine

Get the same result with Stans

Never tried Sludge

I thought it was more for tubes

More aggressive marketing. It was one of the originals, and it's trusted. Kinda like how no one refers to a hydration pack as a hydration pack, but rather as a Camelbak - even when it's not a Camelbak.

In both cases the original is pretty dam good though.
