No damping on my Rochshox Monarch RT3

During my ride today I noticed that there is no damping on my rear suspension. On smooth tare road the rear "bobs" up and down with each pedal stroke. I have checked alll setting, no luck. Also when hitiing bumps I hear like a "sucking" sound from shox.

Any advice

I have experienced exactly the same while riding this morning, there is a very subtle change between settings, perhaps the flood gate rages between 40 and 60% open? Is it not perhaps just the RT3?

Time for a damper service. The oil in the damper has broken down and is now no longer the stuff that was in there in the first place.

This shock doesn't have the sophisticated anti-bob circuitry like fancier shocks, but at least the damping should work. Service it. And not just an air sleeve service, any mamparra can do that. It requires a damper rebuild.

  • 2 weeks later...

Got shock back from service. According to the specialist the " Ground screw was not in deep enough, therefore losing oil"

What is the ground screw?

Tried it this weekend, great
