So there I was doing the Dome2dome this past weekend flying along a group (+- CL/EL) when this "deleted" guy (with a R70.000 bike) rode up next to me and started shouting at me about racing lines etc. When I looked at him I saw he had earphones in and an I-Pod. WTF dude?

There is a lot of movement in bunches in general. We were going so fast we were in single file in any case. If you get to close, that is your problem. In my opinion as long as you do not make sudden movements side ways everything should be fine, however if you look at the roads we are racing on and especially on Sunday then if your front wheel crosses my back wheel then YOU are in the wrong should it touch and you go down.

Sometimes I get the feeling when people start to tire that they think they own the road and have the right to be miserable.

lol if that was me (not a roadie so dont really know how things work), i would have told the guy to bugger off and ride on someone else's slip instead of freeloading in mine :P if he had a problem

You have detracted from the main point of your argument by including the noise of bias.

What does his colour vs the price of his bike have to do with anything?

Edit your post. It will make more sense.

I mentioned his origins cause maybe someone saw the incident and would remember?

I included the price of his bike since I felt (then and still wonders) that owning an expensive bike gives you extra privilidges.

I am not racist and if it came up that way then I am sorry. Did not intended to be.

I think the iPod would have been sufficient as an ID feature. It might also have explained why the idiot was shouting. It will also be sufficient for him to shortly be 'deleted' if he continues to cycle road, wearing music in his ears.

I do get your point re: the price of the bike vs the perceived privilege of road use.

Something like BMW drivers.
