It has a little electric motor in it - perfect for Spratacus to make the transition from road to mtb

20.5kg though - oof!

I wonder how much the motor helps?

Not sure, but the model name is a bit of a joke. Maybe that's what you need when the battery runs flat.

I liked the name - a bit tongue in cheek but well funny.

You + motor = you + EPO.

Ghost had a demo electric bike ( E bike ) at the 3 Towers this weekend past .

Doing demos up and down the mountain while we were racing , not that wow up hills ( i dropped Mike on the first hill on day one "the Sting " ) its main aim is the man who cruizes around town ect . did about 60 odd km before needing a recharged

Rode with a guy on the Ghost demo bike a week ago. It was impressive, but it was mostly flat. Generates about 330 watts I believe, so not bad if you adda few hundred more :-)

I have taken the EPO -29er for a spin.

That motor really does help. has 4 settings:

High

Low

Off

Regenerate

It won't be good on rough off road trails but brilliant for commuting

in SA where you sometimes need to go onto pavements or some foot paths etc.

(front shock and 29er wheels)

It won a Eurobike award this year.
