Rain in PTA

Who else was caught in the cloudburst on 11 Dec 2007 in Pretoria.

 

 

 

I was on my road bike and had to cycle through water that was in places well above my BB. (I am not lying on this one.) THE worst part of the whole trip is when a bakkie went through a "drift" in the road and sprayed a wall of water at me. I mean it was two blocks from home. (oh well I was soaked anyway.)

 

 

 

Had to repack my head set. THE bike goes in for a service ASAP to repack the grease in the BB and wheel hubs, and clean chain, cassette and rear derailer.

I got caught 4 times.

 

but I was in the Schwalbe Shaggin' Wagon

Got drenched on Van Ryneveld road from Irene heading home

 

Couldn't see a thing, apparently neither could the cars, couple were a coat of paint away from hitting me.

 

Bike wash was needed though
