When your a pro or elite in a racing bunch, the only thing that matters is your placing, and even more so, did you win or not. Time is irrelevant. The rest of the race/ride is a funride where all that matters is the time you rode. So you can't compare the 2. If you wanna race for the win, get into the racing bunch. Riding out of HH or D you can wheelsuck any fast male, but since there are HH no results ahead of her he either pulled off, or the result is wrong. "Wheelsucking" on something flat like, Lost City, might be easy, but on 94.7 route, you have to be pretty strong to stay with the leading MALE riders, and finish 5th of your group! Flemish Lion Posted November 24, 2011 Share As I mentioned before - in 2007 Jo was 9 mins faster than the first Elite women. You CAN'T compare the 2 groups! She got 4th in D group, but did not try win the group, but just made sure she was the first open women. Sadly there was/is NO prize money for Open women, which I don't agree with! If so, regardless of gender, that is one extremely impressive ride. To start in HH and ride away from her group and any other group she would have caught, work her way through all the traffic along the route and finish with a faster time than the winning time of every group after A. How many Hubbers could TT the route through the traffic faster than that? Ps. Luckily I finished faster, so I wasn't "Chicked", but still not sure about this. Maroesjka Matthee averaging 38.99 kmph and getting podium?No, in fact it was a 45yo, Tina Brenzel who beat Maroesjka by 3 minutes and averaged 40.04 kmph.
