Rider down, Atlas Rd

Stoped to help a rider today, loked like the triathlon type, Merida warp snapped in half, rider went through the back window of a taxi, that stopped in the yellow line. My guess is he was riding on the tri bars and did not see the taxi stop. Facial lacerations (got that one off Greys Anatomy) and a few other scrapes that I could see. Waited till the paramedics arrived, then left.

The taxis on that stretch of road have a habit of doing that, many times iv'e had to avoid them.

When I turned from Elizabeth into Atlas this morning, A guy on a Merida with tri bars and all just did a u-turn to go back up Atlas. Probably the same guy.

He had a blue jersey on, white merida warp with SRAM 80 wheels. Happened right at the top of Atles, in front of the Checkers centre.

The taxis always stop there to drop off passengers for the shopping centre.

 

Its on a bit of a curve, so if our boy was belting it around the bend, probably wouldnt have seen the taxi.
