I currently ride a 2011 Silverback Surplus 1. I really like the bike and have no issues with it... BUT I saw the Specialized end of year sale and now want to buy the Epic frame and rebuild all my components onto this?

Do you reckon its a good idea or should I rather stay with my carbon hardtail? Also, would you buy the 2010 or 2011 (R4k more) frame?

I know a guy who used to swear by carbon hardtails but he now rides a carbon epic dual sus and say that he can't believe it took him so long to get a dualsus. He's loving the dual

I will never go back to a hardtail simply because the full suspension is soooooo much more comfortable and forgiving, especially on long and rough rifes.

If you do mostly smoother stuff, don't do long epic rides and/or are young and tough, stick with the hardtail by all means. If you are older (smart),like comfort, enjoy technical and endurace rides, get the dual suspension.
