(put my saddle up yesterday, probably too much)Luckily it was just before the short route turn so I just solo-ed with the wind behind me to the finish. So if you see me on top of the results of the long ride in 1h10mins thats what happened Zac, you shouldn't have gone over the mats....

Bram_on_Madone Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Great first race of the year. The heat and the wind reminded me what its all about - didn't do too great up Ou Kaapse, but was satisfied that I felt strong up Boyes and had a nice sprint to the finish from there.

I asked them to delete it and they said it wouldn't be a problem, I though they could just transfer the results to the shorter ride because they did that with a friend before, but they said they couldn't. I don't see how it harms you if it's been sorted out? I had no intention of cheating when I crossed the mats. Sorry.

Nobody SLIPS My wheel, I think OK Lets move IT.3/4 way Up 2 guys join Me. As I crest Ou Kaapse the Bunch comes through. From There I was still Great.Taking the First Turn right I FELT myself Switch OFF!Having Bunch after Bunch Pass me. No Chance to Hold On more than 10 mins. Enter Simonstown Serious Cramping and Spasms STARTED!Had to Stop or Fall Over! Going through Fishhoek was OKish.Boyes Drive, not Even HALF Way, STOPPED Again for Cramps and Spasms could NOT Move!First Time I had to Walk!Then I see a MTB Biker stuck, SNAPPED his R Derailer and Hanger OFF. Busy trying to make a Single Speed. So I Help the Two guys. Then Olympic Cycles stop, can not do anything more than I already Did.We all move Off.After that Every Little Hill I Got Serious Muscle Pains All the way till the Finish!No Result as I chose not to Cross the Mats.

firewolf Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Dudes I am a Profesional Fireman (as in I earn my income fighting fires) which is intself, quite tough. So to get away from that stress and that world I ride a bike. If the wind made you go back to sleep this am, well, ya missed out man!
