Gents, gents. The lad is buying XTR shifters...how can he run Saint or SLX...really?

 

if you're talking about a pedigree point of view then he can easily run Saint.

 

Remember, Saint is M800-series... one up from XT ;)

 

and it does come in medium cage for those who like more than 1 ring up front

As Daft Vader once said (when talking about Saint)... "only 2 Shimano models come with gold trim... XTR Yumeya and Saint... therefore it must be awesome" :lol:

I put the 770 on some time ago, very happy with it. Something put me off the 772 but I can't remember what it was, I think that it may have less space to cope with extreme gear combinations (not that anyone should ride cross-chained anyway) . The 770 was super easy to install and set up.

Im just shooting from the hip here, but contrary to popular belief, I think you'll get better feeling (not 100% on shifting) if you use XTR shiftrs and SLX der than using XT shifters and XTR der.. just a thought.. :ph34r:
