Stormers also hammered with injuries in the lock position dept...

Tch!

Andries Bekker is a special player.

Hope he gets strong soon.

Ya mean he still plays with special young stripper type girlies in public places?????

I see Johan Goosen is staying at the Cheetahs until the end of the 2014 season. I back him to get the No 10 jersey against the English in June ahead of Morne Steyn and Elton Jantjies. And to think he's only 19!! Baring injury and with proper life skills, he'll should become a Springbok legend.

With Meyer as Bok coach I doubt anybody other than Steyn would get any game time...

I dont think H Meyer will go with Goosen ahead of Steyn. Steyn's boot has been lacking lately, but I think he might get the nod because of history. Dont want to rush Goosen either. Def a great person to have on the bench

Grey...bok breeding ground....don't know if goosen is from there, but would wager a bottle of laphroaig he is.

Will be very sad if he doesn't make the training squad at least

Goosen was at Grey College. Imagine him at 10 and Francois Steyn at 12!!!!!! The defensive channel is substantially strengthened, and with Hougaard at 9, Brussow at 6 .... my mouth waters.

Hardest game to call is the Saders / Canes. I have to go with the Canes as they had a bye and will be fresher and the Saders comes of 14 days of traveling and games against the Bulls & Stormers.

I also think the Stormers should beat the Reds despite their injuries......

Bekker is a legend in the making. Goosen should play as he kicks just as well as Morne (if not better) and can distribute........ Why not choose a flyhalf that gives you all the options? Or does Heyneke prefer a "back in the pocket" flyhalf that only kicks and not a playmaker?

I would play the following back line against England: (and subs in brackets)

9 Francois Hougaard (Super Sarel Pretorius)

10 Johan Goosen (Pat Lambie)

11 JP Pietersen

12 Frans Steyn

13 Juan de Jongh

14 Habana

15 Joe Pietersen (Riaan Viljoen)

Only real concern might be outside centre with J fourie not being available. Might choose Lambie there

He is the inform flyhalf at the moment if he was Australian he would be playing.

Interesting choices there. I'll volunteer a backline after the weekend's games.
