water measurerd 23 degrees but an arrangement was made for guys training for iron man that they could have a batch start with wetsuits but with a five minute penalty! i think that this option should be given at all triathlon events! .... working on it!!

Water was warm once we got going, but there was a lot of shivering going on before the gun. I even got goosebumps on the run, but that is because of the great support I got from my TRIFACTRI teammates that drove all the way just to watch. Those guys rule!

Does anyone have an accurate profile for the bike route? I wish to see that bloody hill again. I havent ridden over such a hill in the Argus, 94.7, or any other Road bike race in my life. On google it shows the peak gradient to be more than 15%. Is that even possible? The TDF doesnt even get to that?

Then you should go do the 70.3 in Laguna Phuket, Thailand, 4 hills with sections over 20% gradient in places.

Having said that I'm glad this race was only a two lapper, the thrid one might have killed me ;)

@mrmed did u do Phuket 70.3 i am thinking of doing it...is it worthwhile?

Yep, it's a fantastic race. Nice venue and we had a lot of fun afterwards. Worth doing. But you need a 27 tooth cassette or you're gonna do some walking ;)

Actually I did almost the same times at both races.

I would also like to do that race. It is also a cheap holiday destination. Those 10 day packages will be perfect for me and the missus. Fly over the Friday, race and then have a nice holiday!

Eish, you won't like, no wetsuit ;)

What size cassette have you got on your bike ? On my TT build in progress I have a compact crank and want to buy the "right" cassette to cater for most eventualities
