Pay him no attention, he has a vendetta against trees, This wouldn't be the first time I've seen him punch one while riding!

But seriously, nice run! You were pinning it throuhg the k@k-n-drop... your wheels barely touched before the the table, then you dropped.

How did you find those first 2 doubles? On practice day they claimed a few victims. That second one is a little longer than it seems.

An yeah, like Super_mil says... heal up soon!

Thanks guys.

The whole right side of my body was pretty still the next day.

Patch - the first is way to small for the speed you hit it then the 2nd was fun, popped you a lot higher than expected thou and could have been a tad bit longer but they are a nice addition to the track. The new hip i found was more fun to scrub and berm it.

I didn't mean to hit the tree

Ya i get a bit too excited into the K@K-n Drop and only just get touch down, im sure its possible to jump the whole thing, pity i cant try now, I think MM should give it a go.

It is rather annoying, got a full forearm cast for a little bone in the hand, I never expected casts to be soo uncomfortable and painfull.

The finger is kinda feeling ok at the moment.

:offtopic: at least it will keep me off the bike and from breaking anything else closer to the big day

Yeah, I think that was the issue on those forst 2 doubles. That first one is slightly short so I found myself overshooting and not getting any pump off the landing, forcing me to work the second one a little more. But as you say, that second one was deceiving as to how high it sends you. I'm not too sure about making it longer just yet

I was chatting to Marnus and he said Rhyno had toyed with the idea of jumping right over the k@k-n-drop. Taking that berm after the down might be a little tricky though... imagine how much speed you'd have

Who is this MM who you think should try jump the whole thing? I sure hope you're referring to super_mil and not to me

So when does the doc say your cast can come off and you can ride again?

Im thinking the speed i hit it it might be possible, i suck the lip quite a lot, if i had to boost im sure it would be possible.

Suppose to be 6 weeks which puts me out for the next race  but seen as im getting married that sunday it might be a good thing that im off the bike till after the wedding.

But i think i might cut the cast off on fri, i can't take it anymore :cursing:

Looks absolutely awesome. My son wants to try out downhil - where in Waterkloof is the track so we could go have a look?

Fucshia st in Wterkloof is the best place to park and access it. As you drive towards the end of the street (dead end) you should see one of the jumps on your right. Park in that vacinity. That's about the half way mark on the track.

The Gravity All Stars (Gauteng DH club) are building a "village bicycle"... and juts like the name suggests, it's a bike that anyone and everyone can use. The aim is to give riders (like your son) a chance to see what it's all about before shelling out big cash on a rig.

I think they still need one or 2 more parts before it's up and running (the ike was built from donated parts, and as you can imagine, a donated fork is going to be hard to come by), but as soon as it's up and running and we have a track day sheduled I'll be sure to let you know ;)
