On returning back from holiday I came across your posting about the so called "Hollywood Project". Now before I go any further I really hope that you and Grenville have managed to sort out your differences in the interim.

Now I do not cycle track but I am a member of the Lifestyle Club and only cycle road. What I can say is that before I became a member of the club I was never refused permission to cycle with Grenville or any of the club members on club rides on the road. In fact in all cases when I was dropped from the bunch they would slow down and wait for me. In many instances Greg used to come up alongside me and literally push me to stay in the bunch. Grenville always had tips for me and supplied me with some valuable coaching and still does to this day. For these reasons I joined the club and have maintained a good relationship with all members.

I find it a tradjedy that you as a fellow club member cannot iron out your differences with Grenville in private but have to come here to an internet site and bad mouth both him and the club he runs, I also take this as a personal insult as you have now implicated all club members into your ignorant statements.

As stated HNP belongs to the municipality but what you failed to mention is that the track is maintained by members of the club on a voluntary basis. When last were you down there painting lines and cutting the grass? You all want to ride on the track but do not want to do the dirty work to keep the track in good condition. If things were left to the municipality you would definately not have a track to ride on unless you took your mountain bike. The grass outside your front wall belongs to the municipality and when last did they cut that for you much less maintain a bicycle track?

Perhaps what you should do is have a chat with Grenville and find out what the requirements are to join his training group. As far as I am aware being a club member does not entitle you to just join the group and is not part and parcel of the club membership agreement.

Oh and next time you ride past your fellow club members on the road you can at least have the decency to say hello. It is just common courtesy and costs you nothing especially if you are wearing the club colours you so openly despise. Maybe if you can pull your head out your ass and stop for a chat you might find that we are actually and nice bunch of guys.

Nope I have nothing further to say on the matter except to invite the guy around to our health spa for a massage and a beer so he can relax a little.

From the Desk of Pantani:

Pantani would like to make it known that he embraces gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals and is strongly opposed to homophobic remarks aimed at sexual minorities.
