hey guys, i just want to get an opinion of my set-up,

i have looked at the magic shine lights and various others but have gone this route as a start.

so i have a LED Lensor B7 mounted on the bars@ 210Lumins( stated on the pacaging) and a LED Lensor H7R headlamp@ 170Lumins(again stated on the packaging).

my thoughts are that while the bars are facing one direction i can look in another.

my goal is a 24 hour mtb race eventually and riding critical mass for now.

any thoughts on this kind of setup.

I found that only using a good head lamp mounted on my helmet is suffice. A additional light on the handle bars for nearby lighting up the path helps, but gives the illusion of holes on the path. But the light is static.

I run a magiclight on the bars and a cheap energiser on my helmet. Works quite well as the magiclight gives bright and good general coverage eith the headlamp giving me some light fir looking outside of the normal beam pattern.

First orize imho would be a second magiclight on the helmet. Then I could run both at 50% power and have light of good quality for longer.

I have 2 torches, 1 on the bars and one on the lid. The one on the bars is the brighter (and heavier) of the 2, and it lights up the road very nicely. The one on my kop is used to give additional light (if necessary) as well as to look sideways and in another direction if I want to scan my surroundings, or alert a car to my presence. It also gives a better perspective on the trail, as the bar-only option gives off strange shadows, making you think there's an obstacle when there isn't.

please let me know how the lensers work ,i have also looked at them and believe they will be perfect and the price is also right.

I put LED lenser P7 on my road bike 2 months back as a "see by" light to go with my "be seen" light which is too dim really for fast riding in the dark.

So far, illumination is great ..... but .... I haven't really tested out battery life. I suspect on max power, it won't run much more than 3 or 4 hrs tops. Will be presently surprised if it goes longer.

Hi I'm not an expert by any means I have magic shine 808 e 1000 lumens on bars with smaller petz on head. They are amazing combo. With your proposed 200lumens on bar I can't imagine it being sufficient on fast single track..I could be wrong..anything other views..

2200 lumens on handlebars

1000 lumens on helmet

500 lumens led strips on downtube & fork

Even the early morning motorists dim their lights and say "Sorry Oom"

Nice - is that on road bike ?
