patches Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I was riding behind Mad_about_MTB on friday. We were both on AM bikes. He's only running 1 chainring up front with a chain device. He seemed to be able to climb pretty easily, but also not spin out too easily on the descents... so I asked him "what size is that cog?" He turned back and looked at me with a shocked face. Seems it sounded like I'd said something else. So unless you're in dead quiet surroundings and the other person can hear your clearly... call them chainrings
