5th Sub vet . 15th overall.

I love this race and have done most of them, the numbers are growing at each event which shows the race is good . the 30km riders are great always moving over with no complaints .

Yes there are going to be bottle necks when there are lots of entries its just the way it is, start fast and get in front :) .

Karma , you can only do the best you can to get as far forward as possible , i was stuck at the bridge too . this race is getting very popular and im going to suggest to Dylan he does batch starts based on your previous results this may help a bit .

I did the 60km. 1st lap there was some bottlenecks before/after bridge as was to be expected. On 2nd lap I could ride through, that was awesome. It helps being in the bottom half of the field :-).

Its an awesome race, some technical bits, steep downhill sections, super cool fast flowing singletrack, and well organised. One of my favourite races for sure. As it is growing each year, there will be some growing pains, but I'm sure the race organisers will be able to figure that out!

Thank goodness he passed me half way through the first lap - if I had to listen to that for another 2 hours I would've got seriously grumpy.

which is fine, although there were people in the 1st batch on Saturday who have never done the race.... don't get it.

My 1st USN race and 1st mtb race in 2years what an awesome event had a few technical issues on the 1st lap but had a good day still 2:53 26th in Cat. Only issue I found is guy's racing to the front that are not experienced for being up front. Is there no way to seed the mtb race in batches will make things a little less congested at the bottle necks? Not bashing anyone just think alot less people would complain. Also had alot of 30km riders starting with the 60km riders. Other then that what an awesome event. Hope the 2 guys that crashed on the 2nd lap in the forrest are ok looked like a big get off. Never nice to see guys getting hurt!

Yeah - this race is becoming a victim of it's own success. I remember when you could arrive, collect your number, warm up and slip into the strating pen near the front with 10 minutes to go. Almost everybody was able to park in the main parking lot.

No congestion - either in overtaking 30km riders or in the 30km race itself.

Ahhh good days.

I do think race organisers should limit entries and if that limit is reached in on line entries then line entries should not happen.

That said - Saturday was crazy - so many people line entrerred that they ran out of numbers! The parking lot was full and hour before the start - cars lining the entry road and then some. Given those facts I reckon Dylan and the team worked wonders to stage the event without complete mayhem. The fishing wankers sitting vas on the course and refusing to move didn't help matters either...

The secret is out that Dylan and co stage awesome races - the resultant problem is that the demand has outdone the capacity of the venue. Base 3 is just not capable of handling those kinds of numbers...

Super Course - But seriously, it now needs proper batching. The notion that if you are not in front you deserve to walk the first part of the race due to bottle necks does not cut it for me.
