For me it's kind of like going to J Bay. Do you want to go there and watch the billabong or do you want to go there and surf?

 

Except France is like Jbay, G-land, the whole of Bali, The Mentawai's, the goldcoast and the Northshore all in one. And it's offshore and firing every day. And there's a nice friendly guy taking you out on his jetski instead of having to paddle out.

 

Except the girls you do see aren't tanned or in bikini's. And it's best to keep it that way.

Ja. Thats the vid. funny how video flattens it out. The track they are riding at 1.40 is PHUCKING steep. Steepest track I've been on in my life. I'm not ashamed to say I was shiteing myself the entire way down and these guys are just playing with it.

We've just found self catering accomodation for 6 for £1200 for 2 weeks in Morzine in July. No not £1200 per person sharing. £1200 for an entire apartment in Morzine. Overlooking the river. In Morzine. Which is in the Alps. Which has some of the best riding on the planet. Yes £100 each per week.

BTW. If anyone is interested in going in 2013 a group of 9 of us have already booked accomodation. We are going to be there from the 7th of July to the 17th. We think that gives us the best chance of good weather and fewer braking bumps. (Yes we've obsessed about the dates) There are another 10 or so that are keen but saying it and doing it are not the same thing.

We found a place just off the main town square for 1600 euro for the 10 days for 9 of us. Pretty good deal I think. Of course there's the usual places like nantegue and riders refuge which are also sweet.

 

So if anyone is keen it would be rad to have a bunch of Saffa's in Morzine at the same time.

 

Oh. It's not only DH. at least 3 of our crew are thinking seriously of rather taking AM bikes cos there's a lot of that type of riding over there too.
