Beer4Recovery Posted May 23, 2012 Share I paid around R1400 for a service on my Fox 32 RL 120mm forks & rear Fox Float RP-2 shock. Got great service from Ruan @ Spokeworks - took about 2 days (hence a backlog) http://www.spokework...za/contact.html Edited May 23, 2012 by FuelEX
Johan Bornman Posted May 23, 2012 Share R620 for the fork, R380 for the shock.

Robodog Posted May 24, 2012 Share On this topic - who would be the better option in Cape Town for Fox Fork servicing? Hopefully the CT boys will let you know. If in Joburg, I only go to Jason Geldenhuys or Johan.

Peewee1 Posted May 24, 2012 Share Doing this on the weekend:Fox RP23 Sealshttp://youtu.be/vb8BNsFcINQ Fox Float 32 Sealshttp://www.bikeradar...-32-fork-25020/ Looks easy enough, got both sets of seals for R600, just waiting for the Fox Float Oil. I am sure if you shop around or online you could get them cheaper. RP23 lost all pressure on the weekend, my friend is a heavy fella. Supposedly its the valve core or the seals which need replacing, will do both. Edited May 24, 2012 by Peewee1

I've never come across that unless it is a wheel valve with congealed sealant. Valve cores are the most robust element on a bike I can think of. Valve cores are the most robust element on a bike I can think of. Did the RP23 last night. Valve core was fine but a little green with corrosion, but the air chamber inner seals were off the guides. Not sure how that happened but its hopefully sorted now. Its crazy how simple a device it is - probably alot more complex inside the damper. My friend weighs in at around 105kg, not sure if this played a role or maybe it was just time to service. Besides it popping off and making a loud bang when taking the outer casing off(used the rag to stop it shooting into the window), all was pretty simple to do. Tomorrow we do the fork seals. TNOSE_E Posted May 25, 2012 Share Anyone know where I can get the Fox Shox Float Air Sleeve Kit locally? Have tried a few places and they either don't stock or give me that deer in the headlights look...

Also try Summit Cycles, they had some this morning I think.
