1 month to Go!!! Can't wait!

 

I know there were some recommendations for SealSkins socks. Any advice on this? Are they really worth the money? what are the alternatives?

At the rate the weather is forecasting, looks like we are going to need more than just sealskinz More rain & snow....

....Any experienced Trans BAviaaners with tips & advice on what to be packing into each container as far as gear is concerned.. Just dunno which container to shove lights into?....Dunno if we gonna have a divert route again this year or not? Wonder when the organisers will tell us!! Three weeks to go!!!!

Going lite this year.........!

Gonna ride with my head-lamp and put my main light in half-way box(Bergplaas).....just in case we have a mechanical and get to half-way after sundown!

As far as kit is concerned..........1 pair of socks and a clean shirt at half-way.

Hi all, I have done the Langs B but not the Trans B.

I know there are lots of river crossings etc. but where are the worst ones?

Before or after Bergplaas?

 

My plan is to use leg warmers during the day (Which I can easily remove if too warm) and then change into assos fleece bib tights at Bergplaas just before the evening cold, but that plan will be useless if I have to wade through a river after Bergplaas in those bib tights. Any major river crosings after Bergplaas?

Before Bergplaas, just after CP 3. Your bum will get wet from all the other river crossings after Bergplaas though
