It's something like for every gram saved on the wheels is equivalent to 4 grams saved on the frame, simply due to the rotational advantages...

1:5 and go as high as 1:7 when taking aero factors into consideration. So for every 100g you can drop out of your wheels and / or tires you will need to drop at least 500g elsewhere to get the same performance gain.

I like the idea of DOING something rather than BUYING something.

I know 10 grand isn't going to get you a ride up the Tourmalet or Mont Ventoux, but together with next years 10 grand it may just translate into the experience of a lifetime. Don't like the Tour De France? How about riding the Camino in Spain? Or a trip down the Danube or all over Holland? You already have a great bike and unless you are truly into racing for the podium, better wheels are just going to make you feel good for a few weeks. DOING something meaningful will become part of you for a lifetime. My 2 c worth.

Is it worth replacing your bb with a certamic bb?

"worth" in what terms exactly?

If you have to replace your current BB in any case, then maybe.

Sell it.....add the R10 000 to your receipts and buy a Reacto or wait a few months and buy a 2013 907. The 2013 models are completely new and apparantly much lighter.

I bought Easton EA70 wheels, Spez SL carbon handlebars and a training bike so the racing bike doesn't get all the milage on.
