Standing at the 1km to go kite. heavy thunderstorm clouds coming this way. hopefully it will stay away till later. want a clean sprint.

Hideous crash just gone down. Schleck, Nabali, Hesjedal, Sagen, Petacchi, Gesink... taking for ever to clear the bikes out. Frank Can't get a new bike, mechanics everywhere with wheels.

 

Ryder has some nasty hip roasties... and unsurprisingly Hunter is bouncing off the tarmac as usual. That boy has (or is) the worst luck!

Sagan once again escaped without injuries, back in the peloton, the Cav still not in the peloton.

Cavendish and Boasson Hagen were caught up in the crash and are working their way up. Wout Poels of Vacansoleil has had to abandon. We also hear that Tom Danielson of Garmin was involved and may has abandon as well.
