So, my 2-year old Giant Anthem frame developed a crack where the top tube meets the seat tube - a minute hairline crack. Gert Stander at Dragon Sports replaced the frame - no worries. Thanks also to Fazel at Bridge Cycles (the LBS where I bought the bike) for arranging it.

Still a massive Giant fan.

Did they insist on proof of purchase and were you fortunate enough to still have it.?

I suppose with something like a bike you're possibly going to hold onto the pop.

I've got an isue with a small part at the moment (not with Dragon) ... no receipt, no joy.!

Really, how long do you keep receipts for R1000 and less.!

well, the frame has a lifetime guarantee, so I guess you keep the proof of purchase for like a lifetime...

keep all slips for as long as guarantee lasts

Why I think Thomo asks, is that most manufacturers only uphold the warranty for the original owner, confirmed by the receipt.

I also had my Anthem X frame crack at the same point a few weeks ago. I asked for the option to get a 29'er frame and was given one for an upcharge.

Proof purchase was required.

You keep the receipt for as long as the warranty is valid.Pretty straight forward I would have thought

yes, I think warranty only applies to original owner. PoP required.

Was considering that as well, but then of course the extra $$$ add up - new wheel, new fork, new etc etc tec....
