Back in the day i worked for a construction company during school holidays.

The developer had bought our farm and subsequently the birth of Theresapark in the north of pretoria was created.

After finsihing with them i had enough cash to buy a Peugeot Lion 10 speed as in the picture, mine was blue.

The first change was to reduce the size of the mudguards so that i could wheelie this machine.

loved it till my grandfather bought me a Raleigh racing bike gold in color.

Brings back good memories of the earlier days

Speaking of old bikes.... i do alot of business with Transnet and at the workshops all over the country there all some classics to be seen. All the Transnet works facilities are huge flat areas, so everyone moves about on bikes. Iv seen plenty old Bomber, Le turbo's, Peugeots, Hansom's, DHC, Alpina's,

I still have one. Got it after searching for more than 2 years. Perfectly restored.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than riding it around the block. Not even my 29er.

No thanks, I think I`ll stick to riding my 29 dually in the bergs. Dodging cars to get to school on a Bomber is just not as much fun as flying down the Jonkers singletracks.

Jy sal ook eendag grootword en dan besef jy kry nie ballas deur fancy te wees nie.

Hey Belhammel, hows things going with the Bomber? Must say I kind of miss that rides around the block...

Im still looking out for another one to restore though, no luck yet.

Hope you have fun!

Cheers
