Actually I have been looking at some of the Camelbaks....

You guys who get annoyed by a thread carrying on are obviously a little OCD and cannot resist coming in and commenting. If a thread does not interest me, I don't open it. Easy really.

For those of you who provided suggestions and opinions, thank you. I'll weigh up those opinions and make a call.

For those who didn't, thank you too, you provided much entertainment. Better than watching SABC and no license required either.

Well I have camelback, saddlebagsss and, and, for you if you want.

Once you get over yourself you will see less is more.

Each time I thought I know what was going on I went out and got it, the after a few PROPER rides realized WTF this is a waste of time.

Only thing is tubless (I know you are fine on tubes clint), but wait intill you ride an a place where there are thorns..... until then you are fine.

Truth be known, that's the exact reason I do this. Rather than go out and make a rash purchase that I'll end up regretting I'd rather come here, ask opinions, queries those opinions, get abuse hurled at me, hurl some abuse back and before you know it the urge to buy has worn off and I am not left with something I never use.

Yes, the easiest thing for all would be for me to just dash out and buy but then you'd have to deal with me trying to sell stuff every week too :)

Yip, again, don't get me wrong, I have said before that currently tubes are doing me just fine. I have not said I will never go tubeless, I just can't justify the expense now. Perhaps I have Jewish blood... I said the same with cleats initially and I stick by that. When I started I didn't need them but not that I am enjoying the riding and it is likely to continue the expense makes sense.

I know I said my work here was done, but with the latest developments, it appears there is still work to be done.

It has now come to light that the OP is from the toobe'd up takkie brigade.

So my advice, with the small distances the takkie maccie's do, why bother about anything at all ?

Failing that, and the takkie maccie actually gets to do more than 20 km. rides, I suggest a Karrimor Jaguar ST 75.

There is even space for sleeping bag and slippers.

It's not the tooling around that's the problem, but rather where to tool around! :)

In the world of cyberspace most of us are who we are , but then you find those who can choose to be something else.................. why oh who do they then choose to be idiots!

( Face in hand )

Ah yes, this wonderful elitist "I am better than you because I have the latest gear" aspect of cycling had to eventually rear it's head on here. Not surprised as it seems rife. It is actually an embarrasment to the sport you guys supposedly love that this attitude thrives the way it does...

F@3k all here is important except:

1) Camelbak = more storage + hydration. Hotter on the back, but not unbearable, more costly.

2) Saddlebag = smaller storage, carried on bike, cheaper.

Now decide which fits you and run along and purchase it.

What's the bet you have far better shifters and deraileurs than me.
