DubbelBuys Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 What size Shova ST do you ride & how tall are you? I'm 1.78 & there's a Large Shova I can get, but not sure whether a medium will fit me better. I ride a mediu Giant trance & it fits me quite well. Another few Q's: What is the BB height when a 140 / 150mm travel fork is on the bike?Would it be possible to put 650B's on a Shova? Thanx. J
Hairy Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I am 1.78m tall, ride a medium 2012 Shova ST with a 150mm Revelation and 710mm wide bar on a 60mm stem. You are supposed to be able to mount 650B's on the Shova and I can give you a more accurate account of this by mid week next week, I will be fitting a set to see clearance then. BB height ... .just high enough. If you are running 30% sag on the back you can have the odd pedal clip, but nothing that is an issue and you ride around this. The bike is a sure footed and planted piece of bicycle equipment that needs to be ridden to truly appreciate.

DubbelBuys Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 I went for a medium. Most guys of my length (1.78) is riding mediums & they say it fits them well. However if you will be running a very short stem like a 60mm you might rather consider a large. My frame has arrived, but I'm still awaiting merlincycles to get stock of the fork I'm looking for, so I will only be able to tell you how my beast will behave when built up... That might only be within the next 3 weeks
