Hy BMC, I'm also looking for a new crankset for the road bike, but I want one that's lighter than my current one. My FSA no idea what model most be heavy I skeem since I got it free with the frame, think it might be like 800grams including the BB.

I was looking at the Zipp Crankset...but lets get real, it's to expensive. I've been buying some KCNC odds and ends for the Mtb and see they also selling a Crankset for the Road bike at 520Grams, then add a 145gram KCNC Ti BB and you have a pretty light weight Crankset, I just need to see if I can find a better deal on some other brands.

BMC FAN' date=' listen carefully to Racman now.

1) Sell your groupset on the hub at a good price

2) Order a new 2008 Campy Centaur groupset from Totalcycling.com with the new Carbon Cranks (I ordered mine last year with Carbon Chorus Cranks)

3) By the wife a bunch of roses

4) Have a nice romantic candle light dinner at home and then.....

5) Bring the bike in from the car after having the new Campy groupset installed and she will not notice anything !!!!

Problem solved - no charge. Just glad to help !!LOL

Always remember the rule though:

The more bigger the upgrade, the fewer the candles!!!!Wink

also sounds like a plan, but i dont think there's going to be time for much candlelight dinners the next few weeks!

Hey Marius - hou my op hoogte prysgewys seblief man, dit klink goed. Hoe oud is daai crankset van jou, miskien kan ek dit oorvat as dit ligter is as daai 15 jaar oue menere van my!

I asked Chris Jnr about the fulcrum Cranks, they are not that expensive, the light one is 600grams without BB, so you looking at a 745gram crankset, nothing special. The cheaper one is about 55grams heavier, that puts it in the same league as my FSA, that sucks.

There is only on way and thats campag carbon ultra torque the fulcrum above are campag without the campag logo. In fact i believe fulcrum manufacture campag cranks, so they basically the same but cheaper
