Don't let TheV hear me say this, but one of my bikes is carbon (I would have preferred alu, especially seeing as how ot's an AM rig)... but I must say I'm pretty impressed by the Crackendale!

Thanks, good to know as I recon my next one will be a Carbon.

So no horror stories about how the frames crack easily or anything like that?

Had a Giant XTC Carbon 26" (for six years) and Scott Scale 29 Pro, none what so ever.

Do it...streetcred points goes up by 10 million

To be honest, modern alu frames aren't that much lighter but the stiffness in the carbon is the big +

Pic on couch when you get it please

I have also been seriously considering a certain carbon frame and what I really like is that should something go wrong it is easy to get repaired.

Carbon for sure. They can be pushed a lot harder and they are much more responsive and also eliminates smaller vibrations, but get something with a proper warrantee etc. eg. Specialized if you can afford it
