My old (stolen) bikes on gumtree - what to do

Got hold of him.

 

He got the bike from Bridge Cycles a month after it was stolen.

 

Going to the Police again in the morning.

 

Now why is that not a suprize.....

Can I give some advise,

 

Stop talking, get over there, be it with police in tow/or not, check bike and either explain and apologise and leave if not yours, or leave with it.

Slightly old thread, but - Rondebosch police are useless Fsckers imho.

 

My experience was this - We got burgled.

My laptop was stolen, amongst other things, and I found it on Gumtree a month or so later.

 

They wouldn't help. I was out of town, and my brother didn't want to confront the seller - was in a dodgy shop in Claremont.

 

I've since moved to Obz, and the police here are a lot more on the ball. (Our neighbours car got broken into, and I spoke to the cops, and they were a lot more on the ball/proactive about things).

 

 

So, did you get the bike back?
